TMNT Concept Sketch Front by EdgePang TMNT Concept Sketch Front by EdgePang
Just trying to get some concept sketches done for my next sculpture project. As you can tell it's my take on the TMNT franchise. I'll be posting a rearview as soon as i get it scanned in. Trying to go for a more streamlined version of the turtles (no more bulky solid turtle shells). Instead, i've tried to design in more flexibily/agility by giving him a more "armor-plated skin" style. Also tried to rid the necessity of the elbow/knee pads by working them into the overall design. Anyway, the style may change once i start actually sculpting, but i figured this was a good starting point.

hm. no turtles, mate. stick to characters that arent already sculpted everywhere. much more interesting to look at. or create ur own characters, u sure have good ideas.

Excellent Start EJ! I like the face as it has a more realistic turtle-like appearance. A black cloth wrapped may obscure the details, but I always though the ninja turtles in black would look neat and more ninja-esque...but I guess the foot had more of that look. White maybe?. The segmented skin is a cool idea, but starts to look like an endoskeleton(at least in black and white anyways). Couldn't you just taxidermy four box turtles and a Rat then dress'em up? ^_^ Like that Dinner for Schmucks movie? :D Keep going amigo!

This would look great as a real armor plated costume dude. If you need this made let me know.
